TUESDAY TALES - WORD PROMPT SMOOTH - THE RESCUED HEART

Monday

Welcome. Another week of Rory and Hack. Probably the last until January. Last week Hack showed up at Rory's apartment after being dumped by Felicia. But Rory has taken Bruce back.
THE RESCUED HEART
"What's he doing here?" Hack glanced from Rory to Bruce and back again.
"What are you doing here is a better question," Bruce countered.
Hack looked at Rory. "You slept with him?" 
"I...I...I" Rory mumbled.
"After the way he deserted you when you were hurt? Rory, really?"
 Hack's eyes widened and his cheeks flushed. Rory found her voice.
"You're taken, Hack. As in engaged, not available, almost married, shall I go on?'
She placed her hands on  her hips and stepped closer to him. "So what do you care who I sleep with?"
"I care when it isn't me." Hack grabbed her around the waist, pulling her up against his chest roughly, trapping her there while he claimed her mouth with a long, hard kiss. Rory squirmed but Hack had her in a vise-like grip and wouldn't let her budge.
"There'll be no more sleeping with anyone but me. Understand?" he said in an angry, gutteral tone.
"What about Miss Pipe Cleaner?"
"Gone." Hack spit out, his eyes filled with rage and lust.
"Gone?" Rory's knees weakened.
"We're not together." He smoothed his hair down.
"Not engaged?" She whispered.
"Now you're mine. Bruce, leave!" Hack fisted his hand at his side.
"Hey, wait a minute! I have priority here. I was with Rory first."
"You heard the doctor. Leave, Bruce." Rory couldn't take her gaze from Hack's face. 
"Why you little slut...you're gonna sleep with him now?"
"What did you call her?" Hack raised his fist and stepped toward Bruce.
"Okay, okay. I'm going. You can have her." Bruce put up his hands and beat it out the door before Hack could take another step.
"You're free? Her heart beat kicked up.
"Nope."
"You're not?" She cocked an eyebrow at him.
 "I belong to you now," he said softly, folding Rory into his embrace and all conversation stopped.
